Stretching from what would be today's Rio De Janiero up to the northern bay city of Belem, this fine copperplate engraving works right along the coast noting place names, towns, key rivers, and distinguishes the regional boundaries. While it does give substance to the shoreline, the interior is still vacant and the land inhabited by numerous native tribes.  

Condition is very good with some very light offsetting. Image size is 9.75 X 13 (inches).
