(Space) Saturn V - Manned Flight To The Moon
As the American space program began to rapidly evolve, Wernher Von Braun infected the other engineers with the vision of manned flight to the moon. It was heady and contagious and realization came that it wouldn't happen with a single stage rocket. You couldn't just fill up a vehicle and go to the moon and return. The resolution came in rockets having stages of engines and how they could shed an empty stage, leave weight behind and continue. The Saturn V rocket was the answer, it would be the American powerhouse for the Apollo missions.
