A great mid-19th century map for what was still a bit of a frontier area. Spanning from New Guinea, and up to the Philippines, west into the interior of Southeast Asia, "Annam", "Laos" and "Siam". Outline hand color hints at the European colonial affiliation. A inset shows the "Island & Strait Of Singapore", with hand color likewise distinguishing between British, Portuguese and Dutch interests.
